Ok, so I decided to go slumming earlier and peruse the RMDC forum where I came across a couple threads where the topic of "comics that mock Christianity" came up.

Personally, I'm not real big on the whole religion thing, so I have no problem with poking fun at religious stuff, as evidenced by quite a few of my strips.

I figured this would be a good topic of discussion. Sorry if there's already been a thread like this before, I'm too damned lazy to go back and look through the oldies.

So...is it right or wrong to mock religion in comics here at SC?

It's right to be funny here, whether or not that involves incorporating religious themes. Ideally, the humor will not be too mean-spirited (because then it often ceases to be funny), but rather something both adherents and outsiders can laugh at.

Well, I think we can all agree that the blood of the infidel will flow like a raging torrent of pain into the gaping mouth of eternal hellfire. But otherwise, yes -- comics about religion can be very funny.
