I skimmed the Crispin-Miller book today in Barns Ignoble and decided to give it a miss in favor of the Hitchins book on Kissinger. Yeah, the Crispin-Miller book had a lot of pseudo-Freudian interpretation of the Bushisms, but....
....well, but what? That makes two of my NYU media ecology heroes whose books have disappointed me. The other is Neil Postman, whose Technopoly says some things about science that just aren't true.
