An example of how good the CGI was is when you don't notice it's there. For the most part I didn't.

If you want to be critical of anything, criticse Tolkien for ripping off Beowulf. Don't shoot the messenger. For the most part, Jackson did an excellent job.

It was quite possibly was one of the funniest songs I've ever heard. I had to play that scene about five times with my friends because we were laughing so hard.

The Princess Bride is one of the best movies ever made. It's just that the Lord of the Rings trilogy isn't fit to lick The Dread Pirate Roberts boots. And the best fantasy movie this past year also had pirates. And Depp.

I think Kill Bill will get the same treatment that LotR got. The academy is waiting for the second part. And I agree that it should win somthing. Entertainment is what films are about for the most part and LotR and Kill Bill entertained me very much.

that song kind of scared the crap out of me. It was pretty sudden too, it's right after a transition scene where Bill crosses a street, I remember. And then, WHACK! Nudie bar! Erotic song! Japanese chicks bending over backwards to show you their crotches! It's a nice scene anyway though, especially at the end when Bill looks down at at the stripper bending over backwards, and says, "Thank you!" and then leaves.

Man, that was the best fucking movie of the year. That and American Splendor really made this a good year for movies overall. And now we're going into 2004 with a bad start... The Passion of the Christ, Welcome to Mooseport, etc. I can only hope Kill Bill Part.2 will be good.
