It'll turn the cheapest, nastiest vodka into a slightly less nasty cheap vodka. Also, you've just spent just a little less to come up with slightly less nasty vodka than you could have spent to go buy a bottle of Grey Goose at costco. Them filters are 'spensive.

I knew that "filtering vodka" thing had to be bullshit. I once bought vodka that was quadruple distilled and it still tasted bad.

In the end, if you think that the vodka tastes better after filtering it several times through a water filter, then I guess it's all worth it for you. Just don't go handing it to someone who has really delicate tastes when it comes to alcohol.

My friends and I bought some Popov and threw it in the freezer where it froze solid. That stuff was shit.

Isn't the whole point of vodka to have as little taste as possible?

Pretty much, it's not supposed to have any flavor at all.

Problem is, cheap vodkas to have a flavor to them, and it's nasty.

There is something to be said for jug vodka though. You don't mix Grey Goose with orange juice. That's a waste of good liquor. Cheap vodka, like cheap whiskey, cheap gin, cheap tequila and other cheap liquors, is made for mixing.
