There was two Japanese guys, and the movie was "Last Flight of Noah's Ark".

The "nuking Japan" thing is on the DVD, I believe.

As for Japanese soldiers on remote islands not knowing the war was over, it's featured in a stack of films (including one with an aging Bogart, as I recall) but I don't know if it every happened in reality.
