you can't change the default characters, they are part of the whole stripcreator experience, , besides it would mean that my (and im sure a lot of other strippers) parody strips about using them wouldnt work anymore (not that mine worked that well anyway)

humbug

What Id really like to see are some more backgrounds, not bothered what, maybe a pic of the houses of parliament, just to aid with the political strips, and maybe a slightly altered bedroom one to go with the original, cos sometimes I think it could improve the look of certain strips that use the bedroom one and could give it more pinache.
and a space one without the planet would be quite cool aswell.

So, speaking of backgrounds... I'd like to see a kitchen, livingroom, and office. There are lots of exterior possibilities, but once inside, locations are very limited.

Changing or randomizing the default characters is possible, but it would definitely be a big change. I personally like the asian girls as I find them both cute and creepy at the same time. I also think it's a nice blank starting comic because they're just staring curiously at the user.

And changing the default characters would make all the Stripcreator merchandise seem just strange.

And about art:

1. I'm more interested in improving the quality and diversity of the backgrounds than adding more characters at the moment. I'd like to retire some of the redundant or plain backgrounds and replace them with specific locations/sets that are a little more interesting or provocative. I think that would improve the diversity of comics more than more characters would.

2. I don't really want to add any more characters from other comic strips unless they're willing to stick them in the public domain or something along those lines. While I realize everyone likes the ones we have now, I'd personally be a happier and less troubled dude if I could get rid of them.

3. Stripcreator's traffic has been through the roof lately and I'm not in a hurry to add any more characters. When I add more art, bandwidth goes up -- forever. I have the unique webmaster issue that, if say the bandwidth gets out of control, I can't take characters offline without wrecking hundreds and hundreds of comics. I've been tossing around the idea of small subscriptions for more art for a couple of months now. I'm not sure if anything will come of that. If you have any thoughts on that, please let me know.
