That must have been last January 7th.

I don't think I knew about most of that stuff. I'm sorry (and maybe a little surprised) to hear that you've had to put up with such aggravations just to maintain a basically lighthearted web site.

It sounds like you haven't seen them, but there have been movie and book condensation threads -- some of the finest work on the site, in my opinion. I wouldn't say no to a dedicated forum, although I'm not sure how much use it would get, given that all of these threads have fallen back a few pages by now.

We Got Movies!
Can we read?
BANDS IN THREE PANELS

As long as I'm posting here, I'll take some credit for spearheading the effort to get an FAQ written. It's not exactly an innovation, but I have to take what I can get.

The what mentioned above is total fiction. Please don't take it seriously!

Those are just the ones that stand out in my mind because I'm kind of negative. There have been lots of really cool things, a lot of which you guys had already pointed out in this thread. All of the creative initiative by people has been excellent and really neat for me. I still get a huge kick out of seeing people find new ways to use the engine for fun stuff. But I don't really remember the specifics of the beginning. But that night I had to argue with a system administrator on the phone because somebody spammed Usenet with their stripcreator URL -- that I remember clearly.

I may add it. If it doesn't get used, I can just can it and move any threads in it into the Read My Damn Comics forum.

I had read some of those threads, but not all of them. A lot of really clever stuff in there.

That's true, I forgot about that. You've been a huge help with a lot of things since very early on. I still use the FAQ assembler gizmo you wrote.

Pretty much anyone who's ever reminded me of anything should probably get some credit. Like right now I'm remembering that I forgot to add various things to the FAQ that you (and/or someone else) had suggested a while ago. And earlier today I had forgotten to add DexX's new forum user graphic, but he reminded me and it's done now.

I have a Palm Pilot now. I should put some of these things into it.

The three-panels forum could be called the "Reader's Digest Forum". :)

Brad... sincerely, thank you for putting up with so much shit to keep this site up and running. I've been here for a year, now, and I have never spent so many hours per week on a single site. I don't know exactly how, but the features of this site have managed to attract an amazingly cool bunch of people. This is by far the best online community I have ever been involved with, and I am glad that I can help out in my little way with the graphics.

This is a cool bunch of people, and you, Brad, brought them together. :)
