Take any of these words , and place them in conjunction with "D'composed is a ... "

Bazilla's "Wright Wars" thread was a bit crap , but it was , as with everything else , salvagable , because hey , we could post funny stuff at the end mocking him.

Then

You posted links to about 50 of his fucking comics , and as such , ended the possibility of people like myself on a dialup modem EVEN LOADING THE FUCKING THREAD BECAUSE IT TAKES 15 MINUTES TO LOAD ALL THOSE COMICS.

This is the rational voice speaking now

"Do not link to hundreds of comics in a thread. It will make the loading time extremely long , and people will come to hate you for it in a way which Zero_Entropy can only dream of"

Thank you for your attention.

I actually found it quite funny, no-one thought he would go through all of Bazilla's comics and note down all the "good" ones, but he did, and even posted them.

Sure, it's quite annoying if you're on a dial-up modem, but come on, you're surely not telling me that if it had been a more popular regular who had done it you wouldn't have laughed?

dcomposed, for what it's worth, I salute you.

Nope. Id have completely ripped the arse off anyone stupid enough to post someone's entire comic collection on a thread without thinking "Thats going to take most of the rest of my natural life to load every time i view it"

While it was a dumbass move, I have to admire d's resiliance in putting up with the rest of Bazilla's strips to find ones to post. Though I don't actually agree with d's definiton of "funny." I find many of his choices to be merely passable.

On the other hand, d has to read his own stuff, so maybe he has a natural resistance?

I agree that the huge post was quite annoying, what I thought was great was that dcomposed had actually went through ALL of Bazilla's comics and picked out the less shit ones.

There was no way to prove that he had actually subjected himself to such torture without posting the comics that were "less shit". Fair enough, he could have just linked to all the comics instead of displaying them all, but you have to understand that his brain was most likely in an advanced stage of, dare I say it, decomposition. I mean have you even tried to read 3 Bazilla strips in a row?

I just think setting up ANOTHER thread showering him with abuse is unecessary. Sir Edmund Hillary may have been a complete and utter bastard who abused small children, but you still have to respect someone who's willing to climb a fucking mountain for no real reason.

But Sir Edmund Hillary didn't drag us with him and shove us down the mountain when he/we got to the top. THAT's the main difference here.

Praise him all you want for wading through sludge (and then you have to wonder about his own mental state, of course)... but to subject the rest of us to said sludge (even if it were "less" sludgy) was beyond reprehensible. It was downright disgusting.

(The new thread, by the way, was started for those of us who never want to return to the million-year-load thread that dcom turned it into... KKP, I salute you.)
