Half-remembered difficulties somehow puncture my restless sleep.
Broken dreams crushed by mounting pressure. Angry discomfort at the nonexistent.
My overstimulated imagination goes out of its way to destroy its resting self.

I suffer from dreadful imsomnia sometimes, and wake up prematurely and can't get back to sleep because my brain is focussed on some detail or number or something from the dream, which at the time seems to be incredibly important, but is in fact irrelevant.
