	i had kind of a hard time finding a hotel room, after getting no offers from couchsurfing.com.


	I drove, tired, till i re-found that street of cheap hotels i saw on the way in. the signs offered low rates, $25, $23, $20, "best rates in town".


	But when i stopped in and actually asked for a room it was $30, $28, $32, etc. for a smoky closet. I called them crooks and left in a huff.


	Found a place that must have been a nice hotel once, and the new management is making an effort. $27 a night for the 4-day rate.


	The wi-fi's broken, the hallways are flooded, and it's literally a roach motel, but the staff is nice and the room's otherwise ok.


	I'll spend the 6th night in my car at the clinic, get an early start, and head home.
