Toyota announced today that it is posting a $1.7 billion loss--the first in corporate history. This follows last week's news that they would delay opening of a new Prius plant in Alabama.
Just like it did with Ford, GM, and Chrysler, Congress did not blame the banking meltdown and flailing economy for the fact that Toyota and Honda are doing so poorly.
