I'm not trying to pander to a group of people with the following tributes. These comics are my way of saying thanks to all of you for making me laugh, smile, and think on a daily basis. In most cases, I've tried to capture a bit of your style without being too hamhanded about it. If you don't see your name below, bear in mind that I'll be making more as the muse dictates.

Yes, CHUBBY is here. Even though he made some poor decisions, he did make some good comics.
And while "Apathy" may not read like much of a tribute to boinky, his "constructive criticism" inspired me to make better comics.

According to Wikipedia, kaufman is right:

"In Greek mythology, Ouranos is the ancient deity of the heavens, the earliest supreme god. Uranus is the Latin name of Ouranos."

Actually "Ouranos" is funny too.

Here's what wikipedia has to say:

Ouranos is Greek, but Latinization (not necessarily ROMANization) changed it to Uranus. It ALSO says that in ROMAN mythology, Caelus was the god of the sky.

So we have a Roman god of the sky named Caelus, and a Romanized god of the sky named Uranus?

I'm worse off than before.

Zeus is still Greek and Jupiter is still Roman, right?

The Internet sources I looked up verified Uranus as Greek. I ask you gentlemen, "Has the Internet ever lied to us before?"

My handy dandy World Almanac lists Uranus as both Greek and Roman.

Either way, I think we can all agree that Uranus is much funnier than Coelus/Caelus.
