Have any of you used a word in an insult that is not really insulting at all but sounds that way?

A buddy of mine called me an indigenous bastard the other day; it made me halt in mid-retort as my brain realized what he had actually said. Later I got him back by calling him a dirty masticulator. I bought a dictionary just to find new and interesting words with which to confuse people as I "insult" them.

I always found it funny that neds in Glasgow happily trade obscenities, but if you call them "rocket" or "ticket" that's a grave insult.

Are neds the same as chavs?

I want to use the word "orogeny" in an insult. But it's such a cool word, I don't think it would work.

"Yo momma takes part in orogeny!"

That might work. But I'd still know what it means.

My favorite curse/insult is to somehow incorporate 10,000 camels into the mix. Like "May 10,000 camels shit upon your newly-shampooed carpet!" and "Your daughter just fucked 10,000 camels."

RAAAAR! 10,000 CAMELS WILL CORNHOLE YOU!!

I was calling people Foghats before I knew it was a band name.

Other favorites: Doily Sniffer, Astroblot, Rumpy Fig, Eggwhite Benny, basically any random thing off the top of my head.

Opprobrius is a neat word. It means floul-mouthed or of a foul nature, like someone who curses all the time. But it's such an obscure word that practically no one knows what it means anymore.

I was trying to stop swearing so goshdarn much a while back, so I traded bad words for good ones.

the F word became "Fruit"
the MF word became "Monkey"
and most of the rest turned into, "Blarg" or "Gargargar".

I'm still a big fan of saying "Funkybuttlovin" for when I bang my elbow into something.

Doesn't really fit the thread, but common swearwords in the DexX&BexX household these days include "fucksticle", "cuntbag", "fucksticks", and when a big finale is required "fuckety-doo-daa".

My wife hardly ever swore when we first met. She referred to one of her managers as a "cunt" the other day. I was so proud.

My dad used to call me a Rotter. I recently looked it up on dictionary.com. It's actaully a pretty strong word.

I'm always coming across "rotter" in British books (Harry Potter for example) but I've never known precisely what it means. I assumed it just meant "rotten person".

I recently came across a fairly confusing 'insult'

If you get bored, call someone an M. F. D., which is really a distortion of Mfd., which is a common abbreviation for manufactured on the back of packaging on commercial goods.
