Judging from the layout of panel 2 in the last strip, Tobor must have a telescoping member that is reaching down and around, just out of view... kind of like Doctor Octopus.

This reminds me of a geekish trait of mine. I get annoyed when people spell "Spider-Man" without the hyphen.
