I prefer the more mature game of Mortal Kombat. There's just something sublime about a character getting beaten to death with his own recently-severed leg.

Mortal Kombat? Talk about gimmick software that featured digitized characters...

My favorite was always "M. Bison" (who, by a switch of names, was not named right, the name was supposed to go to the boxer, probably a play on "Mike Tyson"). I always liked to use his "superman" move on less experienced players, then use the "head hop/face bash" move. I actually played cheaper than the computer in the hardest mode.

Street Fighter 3 on PS2 isn't bad, but I like Mortal Kombat 4 much better. But I don't think either is more mature than the other. (In case you missed the fine subtlety of my humor.)
