No, it's very easy, to make a strip have more than 3 panels, you simply make two comics, you can add more, this means that you can actually make a 96 panel comic strip should you really want to.

It's also possible to simulate having any number of panels between 1 and 6 in a single comic by using the "black", "splitter", and "blacker" backgrounds, but that changes the sizes of the panels.

The what mentioned above is total fiction. Please don't take it seriously!

Lean in really close to your screen and bash your forehead against it until you see the desired number of panels.

This also works for adding distortion effects.
